Board and Batten Metal Siding Panel

Untitled design(24).png

The Board & Batten metal panel replicates the timeless look of traditional board-and-batten siding with the durability of steel. Its alternating 8” wide panels and raised 2” battens create strong vertical lines, making it ideal for siding applications.

Board & Batten panels are popular for homes, cabins, shops, and modern farmhouse designs. The vertical pattern adds depth and architectural character while maintaining the durability and low maintenance of metal siding. Builders and homeowners choose this panel when they want the classic board-and-batten look with long-lasting performance and clean, professional lines that enhance both traditional and contemporary building styles.

Panel Profile

Board and batten metal panels use a flat board section with a raised batten leg that overlaps the panel seam. This profile hides fasteners, creates strong vertical lines, and adds dimensional shadowing across the wall surface.

SMP COLOR CHART
FOR 26 GA

SMP color chart snippet.PNG

SMP paint systems are developed using a blend of polyester and silicone agents. Silicone acts to improve the gloss retention and weather resistance of the polyester coating.  SMP pre-painted steel has been used for decades and is preferred by many building owners due to the relative durability of the coating and the budget-friendly cost as compared to other more expensive paint systems.

PVDF COLOR CHART
FOR 24 GA

PVDF is a resin made up of about 70% polyvinylidene thermoplastic fluoropolymer and 30% acrylic. With trademarked names like Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000®, PVDF resins are the best protective coatings to withstand extreme temperatures, sun exposure, and humidity in the atmosphere. Therefore, you can expect less chalking and fading with PVDF. Pigments also stay brighter for longer than an SMP system, as well as staying cooler, due to reflecting the sun’s energy to dissipate heat.
