Standing Seam Metal Roofing Panel

SS1.jpg

The Standing Seam panel is a premium concealed-fastener metal roofing system with tall vertical seams that are mechanically seamed together. This design provides exceptional weather protection and a clean architectural appearance for residential and commercial roofs.

Standing seam panels are chosen for their premium performance and modern architectural style. The mechanically seamed design with hidden clips protects fasteners from weather exposure and makes the system well suited for low-slope roofs. Homeowners, architects, and builders often select standing seam for custom homes, cabins, and commercial buildings where long-term durability, clean lines, and a high-end metal roof system are desired.

Standing seam panels feature raised vertical seams that connect adjacent panels while hiding the fasteners beneath the seam. This concealed fastening system helps protect the roof from moisture intrusion and provides a clean finished appearance.

SMP COLOR CHART
FOR 26 GA

SMP paint systems are developed using a blend of polyester and silicone agents. Silicone acts to improve the gloss retention and weather resistance of the polyester coating.  SMP pre-painted steel has been used for decades and is preferred by many building owners due to the relative durability of the coating and the budget-friendly cost as compared to other more expensive paint systems.

Standing seam panels are available in a wide range of durable SMP and PVDF painted finishes designed to provide long-lasting protection and an attractive architectural appearance.

PVDF COLOR CHART
FOR 24 GA

PVDF is a resin made up of about 70% polyvinylidene thermoplastic fluoropolymer and 30% acrylic. With trademarked names like Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000®, PVDF resins are the best protective coatings to withstand extreme temperatures, sun exposure, and humidity in the atmosphere. Therefore, you can expect less chalking and fading with PVDF. Pigments also stay brighter for longer than an SMP system, as well as staying cooler, due to reflecting the sun’s energy to dissipate heat.
