Snap Lock Metal Panel
The Snap Lock panel is a concealed-fastener metal roofing and siding panel that locks together over a hidden nail strip, without exposing screws. Its clean vertical seams create a modern appearance while providing durable, weather-resistant performance for residential and light commercial projects.
Snap Lock panels are a popular choice for homeowners and builders who want the sleek look of standing seam with simpler installation. The concealed fastener system protects the roof from weather exposure while maintaining smooth, uninterrupted lines. In addition to roofing, Snap Lock panels are often used for siding, accent walls, and modern architectural designs where durability and contemporary style are both important.
Panel Profile
Snap Lock panels use a raised rib that snaps over a hidden nail strip. This profile conceals the fasteners, helps shed water efficiently, and creates a smooth, finished appearance across the roof surface.

SMP COLOR CHART
FOR 26 GA
SMP paint systems are developed using a blend of polyester and silicone agents. Silicone acts to improve the gloss retention and weather resistance of the polyester coating. SMP pre-painted steel has been used for decades and is preferred by many building owners due to the relative durability of the coating and the budget-friendly cost as compared to other more expensive paint systems.
Available Color Options
Snap Lock panels are available in a wide range of durable SMP and PVDF painted finishes designed to provide long-lasting protection and an attractive architectural appearance.

PVDF COLOR CHART
FOR 24 GA
PVDF is a resin made up of about 70% polyvinylidene thermoplastic fluoropolymer and 30% acrylic. With trademarked names like Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000®, PVDF resins are the best protective coatings to withstand extreme temperatures, sun exposure, and humidity in the atmosphere. Therefore, you can expect less chalking and fading with PVDF. Pigments also stay brighter for longer than an SMP system, as well as staying cooler, due to reflecting the sun’s energy to dissipate heat.
Recommended Trim for Snap Lock Panels
Trim components complete the roof system and help protect edges and transitions from water intrusion. Proper trim also enhances the finished appearance of the roof.
Ridge Cap
Covers the peak of the roof to help shed water off both sides.
Gable Trim
Finishes and protects the exposed edges along the gable ends.
D-style Eave Trim
Guides water away from the eaves and protects the roof edge.
Valley Trim
Channels water safely down roof valleys where two slopes meet.
Sidewall Flashing
Seals the joint where the roof meets a vertical sidewall.
Endwall Flashing
Protects the transition where the roof runs into an upper wall.
S-5 Snow break
S-5! ColorGard system provides engineered protection without penetrating the panels.
Installation Accessories
Proper accessories ensure secure installation and long-term performance of snap lock roofing systems.
Closure
Solid or Venting closure for extra protection at trim transitions.
Fasteners
Color-matched roofing screws, pancake head, and rivets for a weather-tight connection.
Pipe Boots
Form-fitting flashing for sealing around pipes and round penetrations.
Butyl Tape
High-tack sealant tape used at panel laps and critical seams.
